Fashionable lady figurines are some of my favorite porcelain figurine collectibles. Many of them are from the Victorian Era. The clothes are gorgeous and they are definitely ladies of royal society. But I think are are so many Victorian lady figurines because most of the figurine makers at one time were based out of the United Kingdom.
Lladro figurines are some of my favorites. They have a very different style from Hummel or Royal Doulton. I think that may be because the Lladro porcelain figurine company is located in Spain and was founded in the 1950′s. This is much later than many other porcelain figurine companies.
Lladro figurines have cleaner and sleeker lines than many other lady figurines. Definitely giving off a mid-century Home Decor vibe. You don’t just see Spanish or European lady figurines as well. Lladro artists seem to be fascinated by Oriental ladies and you’ll see Japanese Geisha figurines and Chinese lady figurines as well. Perfect for adding a hint of Asian decor to your home interior design.
I love to add lady figurines to the guest bedroom, when women are visiting. It’s fun to see them use them as ring holders! I go into the bathrom and see they’ve been decorated with jewelry.
