The Benefits of Massage Therapy to Reduce Cellulite

cellulite massage

Cellulites cause disarray on the skin surface which is not pleasing to the eye, so most women employ all measures to get rid of cellulite. While plenty of measures (some of them are pretty invasive and expensive) get most of the attention, massage therapy is often undermined and neglected. But this age old therapy can bring advantages that might just answer your cellulite problems.

Massage therapy can actually be used to treat cellulites. Vigorous massage has been found to effectively reduce cellulites and improve the bodies contour. This is because vigorous massage helps in improving the bodies microcirculation and fluid drainage. Microcirculation refers to the movement and drainage of bodily fluids in a cellular or microscopic level.

Within the layers of our skin and adipose tissues are networks of lymphatic drainage and interstitial fluid. Interstitial fluid is the fluid present in between our body cells, lymphatic drainage is the system responsible for ensuring these fluids are drained properly so as not to cause swelling or irregularities in the arrangement of the cell. In cellulites, this drainage can be compromised, causing dimpling, nodules, and irregularities in the skin as a result of the irregular accumulations of fluid between the cells.

Vigorous massage helps solve this problem by removing the excess interstitial fluid and letting it drain in the lymphatic system. Massage also improves or decreases venous return. A decrease in venous return further helps in the proper drainage of the lymphatic system.

Aside from improving drainage and microcirculation, massage also stimulates the formation of collagen. Collagen then helps improve the texture and integrity of the skin or resist cellulite formation. Furthermore, massage is shown to increase the production of keratin.

Increase in keratin makes the epidermis thicker, and this improves the contour of the skin, possibly hiding any irregularities caused by cellulite formation. With all of these facts, massage therapy can be one measure you can consider to get rid of cellulite.

Hair Implants: The Alternative Method Which Really Works

Are you tired of all the broken promises brought by hair loss products? Now is the time for you to discover the new alternative for male baldness called direct hair implants. You should try this procedure now if you don’t want to use those chemical treatments that claim to grow back hair but actually don’t do anything but waste your money.

This procedure will help you not only to bring back hair in your bald spot but also allow you to regain the confidence that you have lost. Not to mention it will also make you look younger. Hair implant surgery is a medical procedure which involves the removal of hair follicles from the posterior segment of the head which are then transplanted into the scalp area where the hair loss occurred. Rich hair growth takes place at the back portion of the head and so using some hair from that area will not be noticed.

What Determines Hair Implant Costs

There are three determinants for the hair implants costs and these are the number of sessions required to complete the treatment, the donor site where hair follicles are obtained, and the area where they will be inserted. One session can last for three to four hours and it usually takes 4 sessions to achieve good results. Hair implantation is much more expensive than other male baldness treatment methods but its success rate is close to100%.

The professional fee for the surgeon is the primary factor that affects the price and then other factors rely on the number of sessions needed to achieve the expected outcome and the extensiveness of the procedure, etc.

It is very difficult to give an exact price for this surgery, and the prices vary with each clinic, because there are variables that can affect the cost of your procedure. It is necessary for you to perform comprehensive research first at several clinics before you make a choice. The cost differences can be several thousands of dollars from one doctor to the next. If you are planning to get hair implants in the future then start researching options today. If you have the money to spend on this treatment, then I assure you that this will give you more satisfying results than any other solution for male baldness.

If you are asked to choose between the two choices, an ineffective chemical formula that you apply on your hair or hair implants costs for a procedure that give great results, then what would it be?

Quercetin and Prostatitis

Prostatitis is a condition which only affects men. This condition is characterized by the inflammation and swelling of the prostate gland, which is located below the bladder in men. When this condition occurs, it can cause discomfort or pain during urination. Men may also have a difficult time trying to urinate when prostatitis presents itself. Other common symptoms include groin pain, genital area pain, flu-like symptoms and pelvic area pain. While a bacterial infection can be the cause of prostatitis, this is not always the case. Prostatitis can occur once or become recurring, which is called chronic prostatitis.

When a cause is not identified or when the cause it not a bacterial infection, taking quercetin supplements might be able to provide some relief. Quercetin is a flavonoid, which means that it is a phytochemical that naturally occurs is a diverse array of plants. In plants, the presence of quercetin serves to provide coloring or pigmentation. Plants where you can find naturally occurring quercetin include many popular fruits and vegetables, such as berries, onion and apples. The level of quercetin in these foods is much lower than what is available in quercetin supplements.

Quercetin has many properties that offer substantial health benefits. The flavonoid possesses antihistamine, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. As a result of these properties, quercetin has shown promise in treating a variety of different illnesses and conditions. Prostatitis is one of those conditions.

Since prostatitis is characterized by inflammation of the prostate gland, it is the anti-inflammatory properties of quercetin which are most beneficial against the condition. A study done by the Encino, California based Institute of Male Urology tested the effectiveness of quercetin against the effects of chronic prostatitis.  In the study, 59 percent of the participants reported improvement after taking quercetin supplements.

A similar study was conducted by the Los Angeles based UCLA Medical Center’s Division of Urology. In this study, participants suffering from prostatitis were given a 500 mg dose of quercetin twice a day for a period of one month. And half of the group was given a placebo. At the end of the study, the researchers concluded that though both groups experienced a decrease in symptoms, there was considerable difference between the two groups. The placebo group experienced just a 6 percent decrease in symptoms while the quercetin supplement group reported a 40 percent decrease in prostatitis symptoms.  The same researchers conducted another study with the same dosage amount and reported a 25 percent decrease in symptoms from a group of chronic prostatitis participants.

Quercetin supplements come in pill form, with capsule or tablet choices. The dietary supplements range from 100 mg per pill up to 500 mg per pill. The most commonly reported side effect associated with quercetin supplement usage is increased energy levels. In some instances, consuming in excess of 1,000 mg of quercetin per day can result in more serious side effects, most notably kidney damage. If supplement usage is for a child under the age of 15, then the dosage amount should be cut by 50 percent to be safe.

Postoperative Treatments: Cosmetic Tattoos to Conceal Plastic Surgery Scars

While postoperative therapies help tissue heal faster, in many cases where scars remain visible, a surgical procedure called “scar revision” may be required. For patients also affected by discoloration, there are non-surgical concealing therapies that may be practical alternatives to surgical scar revision procedures. Let’s look at both options:

Surgical Scar Revision

Scar revision operations may be scheduled two / three months after a facelift, breast augmentation / reduction, other operation that may have left unwanted scarring. The scars may be removed through surgical procedures involving skin grafts or skin expansion therapies{whereby a balloon is inserted under the skin and slowly expanded as skin grows over} or with less invasive methods like dermabrasion to make irregularities less noticeable. However, when scars are not nodules / keloids, but obvious due to skin discoloration, there’s an alternative therapy that’s effective and affordable called micropigmentation tattooing.

Scar Camouflage Micropigmentation Tattooing Therapies

Therapies involving micropigmentation tattooing can be highly effective at restoring natural flesh-tone colors to areas that have lost pigment due to surgery. Many scars turn white, leading to patchy areas, which can’t be helped by more surgery because the problem may be caused by an absence of melanin in the scarred region.

Corrective Tattoos

To correct discoloration, expert paramedical micropigmentologists can use pigments to create customized tattoos over scars and thereby make them less noticeable. These therapeutic tattoos are designed to camouflage, not eliminate, the scarring, but many cosmetic surgeons recommend this treatment.

Micropigmentation tattooing services are often offered at clinics that specialize in cosmetic surgery and where scar revision, laser therapies and other treatments to rejuvenate skin are provided in hygienic medical facilities. The tattoos recommended by surgeons, and carried out by paramedical micropigmentologists, employ equipment and pigments used in the body art / permanent makeup fields. Nevertheless, mixing flesh-tones and applying them flawlessly is an art that requires a micropigmentation tattooing expert trained in medical scar camouflage.
