Best way to clean tarnished silver jewelry with semi precious stones?
I have a couple of things that have onyx and amber that need to be cleaned, but I know I can’t get regular silver cleaner on the stones.

You want to have a little science fun? Try electrolysis for cleaning your jewelery and anything else metal you want spiffed up.
Get ahold of a transformer that puts out between 6 and 12 volts DC. If you work in an office, there are often many kicking around.
Clip off the plug on the end, separate the wires, and fasten an alligator clip to each wire. In a plastic bowl, put warm water, and a tablespoon of salt. Stir. Put a steel washer in one ‘gator clip, and your jewelery in the other. Immerse in the salt water. Plug in the transformer.
Either the washer or your jewelery will start fizzing like an alka-seltzer. Actually, both will fizz, but one much more than the other. If your jewelery is fizzing more, keep going, checking after 20 seconds. You may need one minute.
Important: If the washer is the one fizzing more, switch sides in terms of polarity.
If you want practice, try this on an old penny first. I’ve nicely cleaned up 2000 year old coins with this method, though it does work so well that it greatly reduces their value.
