Can you help me identify this stone?
I bought a mixed lot of beads. Most were in their living standard quartz, amethyst, aventurine, etc. However, the lot was a large red stone. I've never seen anything like it and am having problems identified. The closest I can find corals may be, but I'm not sure. It is one inch by one inch and weighs a very heavy for him. These are probably something called "cinnabar lacquer accounts. I think that in ancient China, these beads were made by mixing the powder lacquer cinnabar. Cinnabar is the principal ore of mercury, and as such is toxic. In modern accounts, the material has probably been replaced by plastic dyed. They must be easily scratched with a steel object (pin, pin, etc.) or the other. Otherwise, if the cable is very difficult, would be glazed ceramics.
