can you soak amethyst in salt water to cleanse it of its energies without harming it?
You should never soak crystals in salt water to cleanse them.
There are lots better ways to cleanse crystals without damaging them with salt water.
1. put the crystal in the window sill in bright sunlight for a few hours.
2, pass the crystal though the smoke of white sage or frankinsence incense.
3. wash them under running water.
4. set them on a quartz cluster for a few days.
5. Charge you hand with energy and pass your hand over the crystal several times withthe intent that you cleanse the crystal. and throw the bad energy from the crystal into running water, or into salt water.
