Have you noticed the epidemic we are experiencing with diabetes and obesity. It is estimated that over 60% of Americans are obese and the majority of these people are going to be developing. An alternative diet based on low carb meals can go a long way toward helping these people on the road back to health.
Now most people will equate a low carbohydrate diet with meat and poultry. But of course there wouldn’t be anything alternative about that. Instead, lets take a look at a high protein food that has been a staple of people’s diets around the world. It is a plant based food instead of being meat like most low carb foods are.
I am writing about Tofu. This product is chock full of vitamins and minerals and it has basically no carbohydrates. Instead, it is almost all protein. Have you ever looked at how many different dishes you can make using tofu. It is absolutely astounding. In fact, you could probably make a new dish for every meal and you would not get anywhere close to finding all the different ways you can combine foods with tofu. I always choose a dish based on this bean curd when I eat at a Chinese eatery.
