Is house plant worth saving?

I gave my friend a Jade plant and he some how destroyed it and now it only has just the stems left at the soil line. I cleaned up the soil and removed the leaves that fell off (all of them) and now have it sitting by the window for sunlight. Is this worth trying to save or is it already to late? I think he also overwatered so I haven’t watered. Thanks

The plant is probably gone to far, but if you would like to try to save it , place it in a sunny location an hope for the best. I like Jade plants myself.
