How did the fossils in the vast fossil beds such as The Morrison formation (6,000 sq miles) get there?
Creationists claim that the dinosaurs were buried in the mud from the flood but there does not seem to be a consensus among those who don’t believe The Flood of Noah account? Some say they were buried during another flood (not the flood of Noah) and others say that it all happened during a volcanoe but the ash from a volcanoe doesn’t cause that type of fossilization.
Firstly, nearly all fossils are known to have been buried at the time of the death of the animal or shortly afterwards, and they were buried with water present.
Secondly, it was recently discovered that raw diamonds actually contain enough Carbon-14 that they can be dated. This is theoretically impossible because if the diamond was millions of years old the rate of radioactive decay of Carbon-14 should mean there isn’t enough in it to date it, but there is. They date between 60 thousand and 80 thousand years ago. While this is much older than creationists claim the earth is, it is considerably younger than what evolutionists claim.
