What is the point to Big Brother?

I just dont get it. Lots of people locked up in a house. They never do anything entertaining. When they do say something funny, you all you end up hearing is ‘birdsong’ or a plane flying over head to inconspicuously edit it out. To think that there are magazines, websites, books and news coverage on what goes on in the house is ridiculous. And people become famous for partaking in the event? Jade Goody’s get fit dvd?!? Are you having a laugh? what a load of crap, shes bigger than she was back in the day! So please, someone, tell me why millions tune in, and vote on this show, because I do not get it at all.
