what gifts mean serious relationships?

when i first started going out with my husband, it was christmas time and we had gone shopping for each other, i already knew i loved him so i bought him a watch, 3 shirts, and a shower set, to let him know i was committed, and that christmas i got a 14 karrat gold necklace laced with diamonds and a jade heart in the middle, this was junior year of high school when he, paul was a senior, i knew he was committed cause when i gave him his gift he hugged me and said ” i love you”, but for me, i would never give a bf a gift like a watch, cologne or clothing unless i was committed, so what i want to know, is what gifts do you, both men and women mean you are committed/in love with your bf or gf? and on which holiday? or occasion or whenever?
dont get me wrong, im not a present oriented girl, im just asking what you all like to give your bf/gf as a sign of commmittment, just to have fun

My favorite gift that I’ve ever gotten from my fiance is a little heart Shaped Rock that he found when we were at the beach, but I like silly little things like that. I know a girl who won’t accept a gift unless it’s a carat worth of diamonds every birthday, Valentine’s Day and Christmas.
