Thinking about selling my rings, how do I find out their worth and how should I go about selling them?
I have 3 gold rings (one emerald, one jade and the other I am not sure). I am wanting to find out not only what the mistery stone is but how much they are worth. I am not sure I want to fork out a chunk of change to get them officially appraised, especially if they aren’t worth much…
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Take them to a family jeweler or someone who appraises antiques. A pawn shop could give you an estimate, but probably only for the worth of the gold weight. They also may not be able to identify your mystery stone.
If you don’t have a family jeweler, ask a fine jewelry counter associate the next time you’re in a department, but make sure they’re not waiting on someone else and aren’t too busy.
