A question about hott geek jade raymond?
She’s a really hot geek. She’s a video game producer and she currently works for Ubisoft. She’s the producer of Assassin’s Creed and, did I mention she’s hot? Ha.

My question is: is she really good at what she does? Or is she just at the same level (or lesser) as her female peers with regard to software/game development but is where she is now because of her drop-dead good looks?
I’m not hating. I’m just asking.
She’s just too good to be true, IMO. lol
They don’t hire producers just to be models. It’s a sad reflection on society today that people assume a woman must be cheating to succeed…
That said, being pretty can make it easier to get promoted, because bosses think they feel a “natural rapport” with you that makes you seem more competent. It’s *incredibly* hard to judge whether people of similar skills are truly better or worse than each other and it’s often soft intangible stuff that leads to who gets hired and who gets better jobs.
On the flip side, being pretty can mean that everyone is constantly hating on you, accusing you of using your looks for profit, accusing you of sleeping with male management, or insisting that you SHOULD be sleeping with male management.
Certainly she hasn’t had an easy time of it.
