What did you think of the GEM and Mineral show?
The gem and mineral show in Tucson arizona is from Jan 27th through Feb 11th. Sellers come from all over the country and from all over the world to sell their minerals, jewelry and other items to merchants and to the public.
Besides the few scams that occurred and the slowdown of traffic and the chaos that occurs what did you think of the show overall? What was your overall experience.

I’ve been to the Gem and Mineral show every year for the past several. First off it’s best if you have a reseller’s license. Simply a tax ID# of a business. Not hard to get. I always enjoy the displays and the history/geology associated with them. I’ve picked up many fossils for cheap from them as well. I’ve found many deals as well for jewelry and trinkets. I guess if you’re into that kind of thing then it’s fun. If not then it’s a waste of money. BTW the Tax ID get you pretty much half off everything. I got a $50 piece of amber with a lot of detailed bugs for $20. Years past I’ve gotten mammoth teeth, fish, and other critter fossils. There may be a few scams but I’ve never run across them other than some of the booths charging outrages prices for their products. Some of the fossil booths are replicas and not actual dinosaur bones, but they usually tell you that up front. Anyway, I always enjoy them.
