What happens after a meteorite impact?
My father is skeptical of my explanation. I think a meteor is sprayed with spray and after the impact due to the amount of pressure buildup and release energy by example. And be part of the material is ejected after impact statement and is manifested by the presence of tektites in the area of impact crater. The process occurs within seconds, microseconds. Can anyone help?
On several occasions, the impact of the meteorite fragments because parts of the meteorite and the surrounding region to push outwards (this is called "ejecta"). Sometimes, part of the meteorite will be maintained. However, meteorites are usually destroyed. Some evaporation occurs, but not entirely unless the meteorite is very small. The rest of the fragmented pieces are projected in the plane ejected (ejecta or field). One thing to consider is that certain meteorites are mostly metal, while others may be mainly rocky. The rock (stone) meteorites in general are completely destroyed, except for some fragments. Iron meteorites generally do better and remain largely intact after the impact.
