Mark Feld had changed its name to Toby Tyler when he met and moved with the child actor Alan Warren, who became its first director. Warren Toby Tyler Toby saw all potential spent hours sitting cross-legged on the floor of Warren playing his acoustic guitar. Warren was born photographer Michael McGrath and commissioned a series of photos. Warren then entered a recording studio and Bolan had first cut overhead. A track for Bob Dylan's song Blowing in the wind. Also a version of Betty Everett "You're No Good, which was then subjected to EMI for a test, but rejected then Toby Tyler. Warren later sold the contract of Mark and records to 200.00 for the owner, the property tycoon David Kirch, instead of three months rent back. Kirch has been too busy with his real estate empire to do something for him. A year later, Mark's mother pushed him to the office of Kirch and shouted that he had done nothing for his son. It calls for tearing up the contract and good wins fulfilled.

After to change its name back to Marc Bolan (by Mark Bowland), while with Decca Records, he released his first single "The Wizard." Simon Napier Early 1967 Bell Manager has been added to the group Pop-Art/mod John's Children, which has achieved some success as a live band, but sell some records. For the children Juan single written by Marc Bolan called Desdemona "was banned by the BBC for its line of" lifting the skirt and fly. "His mandate with the band was brief. Bolan claimed to have spent time with an assistant in Paris, which would have given him secret knowledge and could levitate. The time spent with him was often alluded to but still being "mythical", in reality, the wizard is probably the actor with whom Riggs O'Hara Bolan made a trip to Paris in 1965. Her writing took off and began to write most of the neo-romantic songs that appear on their first albums with Tyrannosaurus Rex.
In addition to Berry, Bolan's influences included Bob Dylan, Syd Barrett, Cliff Richard and Elvis Presley.
Tyrannosaurus Rex
When children of John collapsed (among other problems, the band was surprised to discover his team had been stolen in a study, according to Bolan's biographer), Bolan and Steve Peregrine Took created Tyrannosaurus Rex, a psychedelic-folk acoustic band, playing songs Bolan, Took playing with an assortment of manual and kit percussion and bass to acoustic guitars and voice of Marc Bolan.
This version of Tyrannosaurus Rex released four albums and four singles, flirting with the cards, get as many fifteen and release and supported by Radio 1 DJ John Peel. One of the highlights of this time played in the first free concert in Hyde Park in 1968. Drug use and free spirit took joined the band after his first tour United States. A rock and roller at heart, Bolan began taking guitar lines amplified music duo, the purchase of a vintage Gibson Les Paul guitar (Later in the album cover of T. Rex in 1970). After replacing Mickey Finn was left electrical influences still present beard Stars, the album final to be credited to Tyrannosaurus Rex. He finished a song, children of primary school, with a long guitar break the influence of Jimi Hendrix.
Then Bolan, now married to her small girlfriend June Child (former secretary of the director of another of his heroes, Syd Barrett), shorten the name of the group T. Rex and wrote and recorded "Ride a" White Swan, dominated by a mobile back-beat clapping guitar, electric percussion Bolan and Finn.
T. Rex and glam rock
Bolan and his producer Tony Visconti sorted at the meeting of "Ride a White Swan" and the only run Bolan changed almost overnight. Registered July 1, 1970 and released later that year, progress slowly in the Top 40, which eventually peaked in early 1971 and No. 2. Bolan and Visconti widely (and in many ways, unwittingly) invented the style that would become glam rock and helped restore a brash and exciting feel, where rock bands had grown increasingly arrogant.
Bolan began to wear hats and feather boas on stage as well as frost cuts in each of his cheekbones. The stories are conflicting about its thisome inspiration to say it was originally presented by the Palestinian Authority to Chelita Secunda, although Bolan told John Pidgeon in a 1974 interview on Radio One who noticed the brilliance of his wife's hairdresser before a photo shoot and accidentally smeared some on his face, then. fansoon performersnd Others took their variations on the idea.
The glam era also saw the rise Bolan David Bowie friend, Bolan had learned to know in the underground days (Bolan had played guitar in 1970 Individual Bowie Galaxies "most beautiful"). Soon after, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart and even Grand Funk Railroad was dried in a low brightness.
Bolan followed "Ride a White Swan" and T. Rex expand the group to a quartet with bassist Steve Currie and drummer Bill Legend, and cut a single five minutes, "Hot Love" with a joyful rhythm, the accents of the strings and a chorus of Sing-Along extended inspired a bit by Jude by The Beatles "Hey." It was number one for six weeks and was quickly followed by "Get It On", gravelly, more adult look who spent four weeks in the first place. The song was renamed "Bang a Gong (Get It On) "When released in the U.S., to avoid confusion with another song of the same name by American band Chase. The song reached # 10 in U.S. in early 1972, the 40 that only the upper band is more in the U.S..
In November 1971, the label group, Fly out of the Electric Warrior track "Jeepster" without the Bolan. Outraged, Bolan took advantage of the timely completion of their contract Fly Records, left to EMI, who gave him his own label, T. Rex Wax Co. label on your bag and a head and shoulders of the symbolic image-Bolan. Despite the lack of mention Bolan, "Jeepster" still peaked at # 2.
In 1972, Bolan achieved two UK No. 1s more "Telegram Sam" and "Metal Guru" (the latter to Elton John comes to the top with "Rocket Man ") and two n other two in" Children of the Revolution "and" Solid Gold Easy Action ". The total of four No.2 singles particularly galls their fans as they took out three of the top by a mere whim recorded by Clive Dunn, Benny Hill and Little Jimmy Osmond. In the same year appeared in the film Ringo Starr Born to Boogie, a documentary about a concert at Wembley Empire Pool March 18, 1972. Mix in surreal scenes shot at the residence of John Lennon at Ascot and a session super-T Rex joined by Ringo Starr in the second battery and Elton John on piano. At this time sales T. Rex record represented about 6 percent of total sales British record company officials. The group was selling 100,000 records per day, but not T. Rex has never been a million copies in the United Kingdom, despite many gold records and an average of four weeks on top for No. 1 hit, documentation of actual sales have been lost. [Citation needed]
In 1973, Bolan twins played lead guitar with his friend Jeff Lynne lyrics Electric Light Orchestra "Ma-Ma-Ma Belle" and "Dreaming of 4000" (originally uncredited) of On the Third Day, and "Everyone is born to die", which was not published at the time, but it appears as a bonus track on the reissue in 2006.
Decrease
In late 1973, his fame has gone pop star began to decline, even made a successful 3 Number, "20th Century Boy" in February and mid- years "The Groover" followed at No. 4. "The truck (Tyke)" missed the UK Top 10 reaching # 12 December. However, "Teenage Dream" the 1974 album Zinc Alloy and the Hidden Riders of Tomorrow showed that Bolan was attempting to create richer, more complicated music that he had tried and T. Rex. Expanded the group's lineup to include a second guitarist, Jack Green, and other musicians and started taking more control over the sound and production.
In 1974, Bolan played guitar for Ike & Tina Turner. He appeared on "Nutbush City Limits", "Sexy Ida (Part II) "and" Baby Get It On. "Tina Turner has confirmed in an interview with BBC Radio One
Finally, the harvest of T. Rex line-up has disintegrated. Key left in 1973 and Finland in 1975 and Bolan marriage ended because of his association with singer Gloria Jones. He spent much of his time in the States U.S. for most of the next three years, still single and album, though less popular for the masses, songs words were full of musical experience unusual and eccentric at times. Although Bolan health began to fail when put on weight, the former glam rock icon cleaned and kept working, producing at least one table United Kingdom affected each year until his death in 1977.
Recurrence
Gloria Jones gave birth to his son in Bolan in September 1975, they named Rolan Bolan (although his departure Birth lists him as' Rolan Seymour Feld, compare David Bowie's son Zowie Bowie). That same year, Bolan returned to the UK from tax exile in the United States Monaco and the United States and the public eye for a discreet visit. Bolan made regular appearances on the LWT show pop Supersonic, directed by his old friend Mike Mansfield and launched a succession individual, but never regained the success of its heyday in the 1970s. The last member of the Halcyon was Bolan T. Rex Currie, left the company in late 1976.
In early 1977, Bolan achieved a new group, released a new album, The Dandy in the Underworld, and appearing on a new tour in the UK, taking over the punk band The Damned as support to attract a younger audience who do not remember its glory days. Granada Television commissioned Bolan before a series of six called party Marc, where he introduced new bands and established and perform their own songs. At this time Bolan lost weight, appearing as a decoration as it had T Rex 's golden age before. The show was broadcast during the hours after school in the ITV hopes for children and adolescents, it was a great success. The last episode featured a duet with David Bowie in which Bolan Bolan just fell off the stage. Not having time to recover, this event was broadcast and entertainment era Bowie clearly visible.

The fans quickly became the accident site a sanctuary and in 2007 the site was officially recognized as a Rock Bolan Sanctuary

His funeral was Golders Green crematorium, a provision was in north London. Bolan himself said he was Jewish, the religion of his father. However, because his mother was a Jew, would be considered a good Jewish law (Halakha). His ashes were buried at Golders Green Crematorium.
Bolan never learned driving, for fear of premature death. Despite this fear, cars and car parts are at least mentioned, if that is the subject of many of their songs. He also had a number of vehicles, including a famous white Rolls Royce, which had been paid for its handling of Hawkwind in the night of his death.
Member T. Rex Member Steve Currie also killed in a car accident less than four years later.

Bolan used to hang around our office and sitting on the floor, strumming his guitar, flirting with our secretary, June, which, of course, later married. It was a big Syd Barrett [] Fan. I was very fond of him. It was a big pain in the ass, of course, very full of himself. I always said that what the child told Bolan, the magical name, mythical. It really was his door to Ladbroke Grove. He had his name and our secretary name, children, as children Bolan and fans used to think, wow, is the Bolan Child!
