How to use a quartz crystal for Metaphysical Power?
I a have some pretty cool Quartz Crystals and even a big smokey quartz crystal. Though they look really cool, I can’t say that I’ve noticed anything particularly metaphysically potent about them.
Have any of you had real metaphysical experiences with quartz crystals? If so, what are they like, and how do I access a crystal’s power?
Silly question? People have been using quartz crystals for spiritual purposes for tens of thousands of years. You are the one who is being silly.
One of the most universally used crystals, clear quartz is considered to be a good overall health enhancer. It is good for the mind, body and spirit. A clear quartz crystal can hold a ‘memory’ so can be charged for specific healing or clairvoyant activities. It is a very powerful dispeller of negativity. It receives, activates, contains and amplifies energy. It is used as a tool for therapy and is an excellent channeller of healing.
Smoky quartz is an excellent stone for removing negativity and negative energy of any kind and transforming them to positive energy. It is also a very protective and grounding stone. It brings physical, protection, psychic protection and protection from negative energy. It enhances survival instincts, and can help one reach personal and business goals, as well as assisting in making wishes come true. Smoky quartz is beneficial for groups, and engenders cooperation. It also helps with creativity, prioritizing needs and wants, and wisdom. In addition, smoky quartz is a stone that brings abundance, prosperity, and good luck. Emotionally, smoky quartz is excellent for elevating moods, overcoming negative emotions, and relieving depression. Smoky quartz relieves stress, fear, jealousy, anger and other negative emotions by transforming them into positive energies. Smoky quartz is very comforting and calming, and can be considered a stone of serenity. It can, therefore, be very helpful in relieving grief. In the psychic and spiritual realms, smoky quartz grounds one during meditation, and can provide a grounded link between the physical and higher selves, helping to uncover subsconscious wisdom. Using smoky quartz during meditation enables you to reach higher states of consciousness. Smoky quartz also stimulates kundalini. Because smoky quartz transforms and removes negative energy, it also protects and cleanses the aura and astral bodies. It can be used for psychic shielding.
To access the power of the crystals, you should cleanse, program and dedicate your crystals.
Cleansing your crystals:
After acquiring the crystal either place in a glass bowl of spring water for 24 hours to remove any deeply embedded negativity; after 24 hours, dry. OR light a smudging stick made of sage, holding it over a fireproof bowl or container (like an abalone shell), blow out the flame, and then waft the smoke over your crystal several times to remove negativity and bring the crystals vibrancy back to normal. After each healing use, run the crystal under running water for a few minutes while holding the intention to remove negativity and to bring the crystal back to a neutral state and dry. OR smudge with sage as explained above.
Programming and Dedicating your crystals:
Crystals need to be dedicated to the purpose for which you use them. Dedicate a new crystal after it is initially cleansed. Dedicating focuses the energy of the crystal. Hold the crystal in your hand. Picture white light surrounding the crystal and say out loud, “I dedicate this (name the specific crystal) to the highest good of all. May it be used in light and love.”
To program your crystal, hold it. Let yourself be open to higher guidance. Consider the purpose for which you wish to use the crystal. Be specific. When you have formulated your program, say out loud “I program this (name the crystal) for (name your purpose). Then, while still holding the crystal, let yourself be open to higher guidance. You may need to repeat the dedication and programming several times.
