This is the first HDTV purchase after an exhaustive search. Maybe I should wait for a sale, but I could not wait. This Sharp is a newly released model, which is very nice, but it is a 720p HDTV. A (Sharp AQUOS LC37SB24U 37 inches) size was just what I needed on the corner above the picture fireplace.The Shop local Wally-Mart has been horrible! I compared the Vizio and the Sharp AQUOS LC37SB24U side by side, and the Vizio is clearly brighter and clearer. Then I realized it was connected via component to the Vizio, and Sharp has been co-ax. Make sure you compare apples with apples! I played around in the menu, all in vain to dispel a Sharp when I realized that the type of cable entry.
