What to wear to a wedding on the beach at night?

I'm attending a wedding on the beach in South Florida. Marriage is at night and very formal. I do not know what to wear. Suggestions?

Most beach weddings are very informal and, therefore, suggest a nice summer dress and sandals (flip-flop for just in case).
