what species of shark is this? (shark tooth)?

If your tooth is of the exact same species of shark as in the picture, then its called Haigebiss or Gebiss (depending on who you ask). i looked at the link you posted that had the pic on it and i dissected it which took me a while but this is what i came up with. Its a member of the Megalodon family, which means its extinct. Now if the measurement of it is 1 1/2 inches long, then that means you have the tooth of a very young Megalodon because adults could reach up to 55-65 feet in length, with the largest fossil at 80 ft (25 meters) in length. The average sized tooth for an adult Megalodon has been found around 7 1/4 inches long, weighing more than 1 pound, though a large amount of smaller teeth have been found at about 3 1/2 to 5 inches long. They first appeared about 50 million years ago, dying out about 20 million years ago, and were on average, about 3 times larger than todays Great White Shark.
